Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 September 2026

These terms cover your use of this website and the quotes we issue through it. The work itself is governed by the written contract you sign before we start — where the two differ, the contract wins.

Prices shown on this site

Bathroom pages publish a fixed price per specification. Kitchen pages publish a range, because kitchen scope varies far more — unit count, worktop run, and whether services have to move. Each specification on the site states the room size it covers, what is included, what is excluded, and what pushes a job to the top of its range.

Those figures are what the specification costs in a room within the stated size. They become binding when we have surveyed your property and you have signed the written quote. From that signature the price does not move: if we have mis-measured or mis-specified, that is our loss, not a variation. The only thing that changes a signed price is a change you ask for, priced in writing before we carry it out.

If a survey reveals work outside the published specification — structural problems, asbestos, a rewire, drainage that has to move — we tell you before you commit, in writing, with the price attached. You are free to walk away at that point owing nothing.

What we commit to

Three things go on every contract we issue. None of them is a cash penalty, and that is deliberate — a late payment argument helps nobody and usually ends up being about whose fault a delay was.

A 10% deposit on signing, and nothing after that is paid in advance. The deposit goes towards the materials we have to buy before we can start. Industry guidance puts a normal deposit at 10–15% and warns homeowners away from anyone asking more than 25%; we have put ourselves at the bottom of that range deliberately. Every payment after it falls due on something you can see: first your materials once they have been delivered to your house, then each stage of the work once it is finished and you have signed it off. The full schedule for your job is set out in your quote.

Pay the deposit by credit card if you can. Where the contract value falls inside the limits set by the Consumer Credit Act, paying any part of the deposit by credit card brings the whole contract under section 75, which makes the card issuer jointly liable alongside us. That is the strongest protection available on a job this size, it costs you nothing, and it is worth doing whoever you hire.

We are on site every working day until the job is finished. Once we start we do not move the team to another job and come back to yours later.

If we are absent for 3 consecutive working days without agreeing it with you in advance, you may end the contract immediately and owe us only for work already completed and signed off. Absence agreed with you beforehand does not count — nor does anything genuinely outside our control, such as a supplier failing to deliver on a confirmed date, provided we tell you as soon as we know.

Every contract also carries a completion date agreed at survey. That date is specific to your job, not the headline figure on our service pages, which describes a standard-sized room.

Quotes and cancellation

Quotes are valid for 30 days. Because we come to your home, you have a statutory 14-day cancellation right from the day you sign, and we will not start work inside that period unless you ask us to in writing.

Payment

10% on signing. The balance is split into stages set out in your contract and on the relevant service page. Every one of them falls due when a piece of work is finished and you have signed it off — never on a calendar date. Bathrooms and kitchens both run 10/30/30/30; a whole house is staged room by room. The second stage falls due when your materials are delivered to your property, so the goods are in your possession before you pay for them. The final stage is always payable on handover, once you are satisfied.

We do not accept cash-only arrangements. Paying by card or transfer leaves you with an invoice, a receipt and a paper trail, all of which you would need if anything ever went wrong.
